Gina Bottom, LMFT

As someone who has experienced tremendous healing through her own therapeutic journey, Gina enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families to pursue reconciliation and healing in relationship to self, to others, and to God. Working from a faith-based lens, she is committed to respectfully and gently supporting people who seek help wherever they may be on their personal journey.
Gina has a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University and uses a combination of attachment-based somatic, emotion-focused, and sensorimotor psychotherapy in her therapeutic approach. She primarily works with complex trauma and grief, and is a contracted provider with Recovery Court of Sumner County to provide services to individuals and couples in recovery from substance abuse and addiction. In addition, Gina is a frequent speaker at the annual TARCP (Tennessee Association of Recovery Court Professionals) convention on a variety of trauma-informed therapeutic topics.
Gina is also a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, is certified in Somatic Embodiment & Regulation Strategies from Collectively Rooted, and is currently pursuing a certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Institute for Ministry Formation at St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, PA,, as well as a Developmental & Relational Trauma Therapist (DARTT) certification from the Healing Our Core Issues Institute.

Certified PREPARE/ENRICH facilitator for couples interested in premarital counseling or marriage enrichment
Trained in Brainspotting, Phase 1
Trained in Internal Family Systems
Outside the office, you can find Gina at home with her family watching cooking shows, reading, taking her dog for a walk, and unloading the dishwasher.

By covenant & contractual arrangement, Gina Bottom, LMFT, manages a psychotherapy practice within the physical location of Church of Our Saviour Episcopal Church. However, no member of the church staff, any member of the church or any church entity provides any direct or indirect clinical oversight to the counselor(s) operating at Mission Road Counseling. The counselor(s) operating at Mission Road Counseling are solely responsible for the spiritual care, counseling, and psychotherapy services provided.
